How to draw a chain mail

Drawing tips on how to draw a chain mail armor step by step:

Step 1:
Draw your warrior caractere. See other pages of this site to learn how to draw it.
Note: Keep in mind to draw your warrior caractere only in pencils, you will ink it at step 5 with the rest of your armor drawing. The warrior in the tutorial image exemples is inked at step one only for a better visibility purpose.
Step 2:
Draw lines around the neck, the shoulders, the ones for the belt, the gloves, and the  base of the light chain mail armor.
Step 3:
Now, you draw the lines on the sides of the gloves, belt and of the chain mail armor.
Step 4:
Add the studds on the belt and the mails.
Step 5:
This is the last step of your warrior in chain mail drawing, Keep the right lines, make the corrections. Ink the caractere and the chain mail armor. Erase the guidelines of the previous steps and undesired pencils traces.
